Helmond is a city and municipality located in the southern part of the Netherlands, in the metropolitan area of Eindhoven (Metropoolregio Eindhoven)Ā in the province of North Brabant.Ā The spoken language in the city is Helmonds (an East Brabantian dialect). The most important local industries include textile and metal, with several factories spread across the municipality.

"The world of our mobility is changing at a rapid pace.Ā We now travel from A to B by car, bicycle or public transport.Ā Soon we will be driving electric shared cars, bicycles and scooters.Ā Preferably via one app and in combination with public transport. What does that mean for public transport as a sustainable means of transport?Ā And how do we ensure that public transport remains available to everyone who needs it? That is a challenging issue.Ā We want to take steps in this direction in consultation with the city and in collaboration with the region and transport companies.Ā To keep Helmond accessible by public transport in the future."
